What is NDIS plan management?
As an NDIS participant, you have complete choice and control over how your funding is managed. Your funds are allocated to you by the NDIS based on your individual circumstances for supports and services you require. This funding works towards achieving the goals in your plan.
You ultimately have three main options for the management of your NDIS funding. You can choose for your budget to be agency managed by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), you can manage it yourself (self-managed), or you can choose to work with a registered, independent NDIS Plan Manager, such as Disability Plan Services. We provide you with a detailed comparison of these options below.

Plan Management is required to keep track of your NDIS funding. You have the option to self-manage your plan which means you are required to keep track of all receipts, submit online forms in the NDIS portal to pay service providers and track your budget.
Another option is choosing for the NDIA to manage your plan for you. This restricts you to choosing only registered providers which aren’t always the most cost-effective or preferred way of utilising your funding.
